This is an informal, non-yacht club hosted racing event to experiment with doing some ocean racing with the Harbor 20s.
Date: Saturday May 21
Time: Warning at 1pm.
Staring line: 1/4 mile off Balboa Pier. Meet by K mark about 12:15. Sail to start area off Balboa Pier and sail about 3mi upwind to R4 mark and finish by J mark.
Course: Start – R4 (approx 3 miles from Start) – Finish
After Party – Immediately following racing – Burgers, dogs and beer after races at Karl Pomeroy’s community clubhouse. (see details below)
Recommended additional equipment: hand held VHF radio, and a manual pump.

After race, meet at Karl Pomeroy’s for burgers, dogs, chips and Potato salad. Beer and Wine of course. The location is: Lido Peninsula Resort 710 Lido Park Drive. NB, CA.
To get to us the best way is Newport Blvd south onto Balboa Peninsula, turn left at 1st light (via lido drive), turn right onto Lafayette dr, turn left onto Lido park drive (by Canary). Follow to Guard gate. Ask Guard where to park or call Karl’s cell 909-953-4025.
