The NHYC Winter Series, hosted by the Newport Harbor Yacht Club, includes one-design racing for Harbor 20, Lehman 12, and Finn boats on four Sundays spanning a four-month (Nov. – Feb.) period.
These events are open to members in good standing of clubs or organizations affiliated with Southern California Yachting Association (SCYA) or any national authority associated with the sport of sailboat racing. There is no fee for entering the one-design races.
The racing area is typically in the harbor north of the main dock of Newport Harbor Yacht Club and consists of several windward/leeward races. Awards are presented on the final day of the series.
