Be sure to enter the Fleet 1 Championship Regatta by September 17 as the entry fee goes up after that.
If your crew hasn’t sailed with you in 12 races in the past year (to comply with Fleet 1 Bylaw I.F.8) there are two regattas this weekend:
If you will not be able to comply with Fleet 1 Bylaw I.F.8 email a petition by September 16 to fleet measurer Patrick Kincaid (pskincaid4899@gmail.com) to request an exception.
The championship is Sept. 20-21 for A and B boat owners, and just on Sunday, September 21 for C owners and skipper members.
We hope to see you there!
If you have any questions, please call or email Philip Thompson, regatta chairperson, at philip@just-marine.net or 714-329-1995

| To participate, send the date(s) you will join us, your boat name/#, and the number of people to Heidi Hall at hhatcl@outlook.com no later than one week prior to each event. |

2025 Harbor 20 Fleet 1 Championship – September 20-21, NHYC
Important Reminders
So, this year those criteria must be met by July 22.
Open to all sailors – H20, other one designs, PHRF, etc.

This is a HALF DAY interactive clinic focused on the parts of the racing rules that are most important for competitors to understand. Using white boards and magnetic boats, we will work through the scenarios that occur most often in any sailboat race – during the start, windward legs, the windward mark, leeward legs, the leeward mark, and the finish. Have questions about the rules, or situations you have been in? Come and get your questions answered! Great for skipper and crew because more heads are better than one.
Sunday, June 29, 1:00 – 5:00
Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club
Price: $45.00

While “Understanding the Racing Rules of Sailing” and “Boat Handling and Sail Trim” are essential topics to understand in order to be competitive, neither will teach you how and why a sailboat race is actually won. “Strategy” is a plan you make before the start as to how you would sail the course as fast as possible in the absence of other boats. “Tactics” is about boat-to-boat maneuvers that help you to sail to your strategic plan. Great for skipper and crew because two heads are better than one!
