Do you feel like your Harbor 20 could be a little faster?  The Fleet 1 Sail Order Window opens the day after the Fleet `1 Championship (today) and extends until November 1. Now is your chance to order new sails at a discount. because ordering during this time period allows the sails to be ordered, built, and measured at the same time.

The Fleet Sail Purchase window for new mainsails is now open. We work very hard to keep price increases down. This year’s cost is $1596.00 less 20% which comes to $1276.40, an Increase of just $11.60.

We are just over one week out from the annual Fleet 1 Championship. Come and enjoy the fun before the 2023-2024 racing season ends!

A few key points……

• Reduced entry fees: $ 65.00 for “A“ & “B”, $40.00 for “C”
• “C’” Fleet – The Fleet 1 board recently waived the need to be on the title of a Harbor 20 to compete
• “C” Fleet – Racing is only on Sunday
• Saturday – Light Food and Drinks after racing
• Sunday – Trophy presentation – Light Dinner and Drinks after racing
• Fullfill your 12 race crew requirement this weekend – two days of racing. ( Note: A petition to the Fleet can be submitted if you are short several races. Petitions can be submitted to Fleet 1 Measurer Chris Hill)

2024 Harbor 20 Fleet 1 Championship – September 21-22, NHYC

Important Reminders

• Boats must be in the water for 60 days before the event (bylaw I.F.9).

• Skippers must have been owners for 60 days before the event (bylaw I.F.10). 

So, this year those criteria must be met by July 23.

• Boats must have a measurement certificate (class bylaw III.A.8) which can be verified by clicking your sail number in the harbor20.org member roster.

• A copy of the registration must be on the boat and must list the skipper’s name. 

• Crews must have sailed on the boat 12 times since the last fleet championships. 

• Petitions (such as for a crew who doesn’t meet the 12-race requirement) must be submitted to the Fleet Measurer before September 17.
